Week 45 Monday (11/17/14)

Recipe Review

Today’s Recipe and Location:           Spicy Pasta Salad with Smoked Gouda,                                                       Tomatoes, and Basil
Found in: The Pioneer Woman blog

I figured out that there are 341 calories per serving, if 7 servings are made. (Please note that the calorie counts vary depending on the specific brands of ingredients that you choose to use.)

This salad is good, but I had to add a lot more adobo sauce than the recipe called for in the directions. I also had a problem and couldn’t find smoked gouda, so I substituted regular aged gouda. I do like this salad and would even like to try it warmed. I look forward to eating several meals of this at school.

Wants and Wishes

This week I really want a stress-free week. I want to leave work at work and come home and truly enjoy every night. I want to sit in front of the fire with a mug of Ree’s amazing cider and read a book. I want to be able to finish knitting my new dishcloths. I want to catch myself smiling as I enjoy a week full of peace and love.
