Week 42 Sunday (11/2/14)

Recipe Review
Today’s Recipe and Location:           Pumpkin Smoothie
Found in: The Pioneer Woman blog

I figured out that there are 159 calories per serving, if 8 servings are made. (Please note that the calorie counts vary depending on the specific brands of ingredients that you choose to use.)

This was two portions

I used regular graham crackers,
but the recipe calls for cinnamon ones.

I love, love, love this smoothie! The frozen pumpkin makes this a cold, refreshing drink. The graham crackers added a wonderful flavor.  I actually had two servings for breakfast, and it kept me full well after noon. Sundays are a crazy eating day for me because it is my major cooking day, so I have to try all of the dishes so I can review them for the upcoming weeks. I am so happy with the entire Halloween section and additional blog recipes. Apparently Halloween is a great eating time.

Trivial Triffles

I was driving down Third Street in Geneva and came upon the Geneva Train station. As I was passing, I spotted this statue. I loved it so much that I actually pulled over to photograph it. I love the man in the raincoat and was thrilled that it was a fountain and water was running down his umbrella. If you are in Geneva, take a peek at this adorable statue.

Raindrops are falling on my head......too
bad it doesn't look like Paul Newman.
(Okay - for all of you young'uns - think
Butch Cassiddy and the Sundance Kid)

Memory Musings

I was listening to a message from my niece Maddie, aka Lovey, and caught myself smiling from ear to ear. I am so proud of my nieces and nephews and their choices in life. They have become wonderful adults and some of them have children and are fabulous parents, too.
Since I chose to never have children, these eight are the most important people in my life. They give me great joy and I feel such pride in them. I am so blessed to have all of them.
