Week 31 Wednesday (8/13/14)

Recipe Review

Today’s Recipe and Location:           Blackberry Cobbler
Found in: The Pioneer Woman blog

The picture for this cobbler looked amazing,, but I am allergic to blackberries. I think this one is a must for the summer because what a better summer dish than a fresh fruit cobbler.  This would be a great time to make it because it won’t be long until blackberries are out of season.  The next time you are at the grocery store, pick up a pint or two and make a cobbler for your family.

Gabbin’ About Gratitude

I am so grateful to God for giving me a green thumb. As you probably already figured out, I love plants, and seem to be pretty good at growing them. It gives me great pleasure to watch something grow and blossom.

Memory Musings

I recently received an invitation to my 40th high school class reunion in October. At the 30th or 35th reunion, I went out the night before with my good friends Jim Kulig and Gary Ayala. Jim took us down the Fox River in his boat. We went down river to catch up with a bunch of friends at a bar on Friday night. I didn’t get home until two or three in the morning. The reunion was on Saturday, but I took a late nap and actually slept through the entire thing. Gary said he called me, but apparently I didn’t even hear the phone – what a big loser I was that night. Hopefully, I can attend this next one and actually show up.
