Recipe Review
Today’s
Recipe and Location: Chicken
with Mustard Cream Sauce
Found
in: The Pioneer Woman blog
I figured out that there are
196 calories per serving, if 8 servings are made. (Please note that the calorie counts vary
depending on the specific brands of ingredients that you choose to use.)
This is just creamy
goodness. The mustard lends an unexpected flavor to the chicken. I made a sammy
out of the chicken and since we halved the chicken breasts I had two of
them. The calorie count is so low
it was filling to have used two in the sandwich. This is a great main dish or I would use it in a sammy
again.
Random Reflections
Yard Art
The most meaningful thing in my garden came
from my best friend, Donna. After my late shelties Zoe and Zeffe passed away,
Donna gave me a plaque for the garden for each of them. For sixteen years, they
were the most important thing in my life. These adorable little plaques make me
smile and remember how they brought such joy to my life. I miss them both, but
the happy memories are always nearby when I think of them.
Helpful Home Hints
Now
the summer is half over and we have experienced a large number of storms, you
may want to clean up those windows. We are now in Week 29 of this blog and I
want to share again my wonderful recipe for glass cleaner that Lois, a Curves,
friend shared with me. Here it is:
The
recipe:
1
pint of isopropyl (rubbing) alcohol 90%
1
teaspoon Joy dishwashing soap
½
cup sudsy/cloudy ammonia (found at Amstads in Batavia – other
stores may carry it but that is where she bought hers).
Directions: Add all ingredients to a gallon jug and
fill the remainder with water.
