Week 61 Monday (3/9/15)

Recipe Review
Today’s Recipe and Location:           Fiesta Black Beans
Found in: The Pioneer Woman Cooks: A Year of Holidays
                  Pages: 148 - 149      Copyright:  2013  Harper Collins

These beans look really good. They are filled with three kinds of peppers and a ham hock. I absolutely love ham and imagine that these beans would have a lot of flavor. This recipe is under her Cinco de Mayo section of the holiday book. I am sure these would be a big hit during this yearly celebration.

Random Reflections - Bucket List #49

One of my favorite movies is Singin’ the Rain. I loved the scene when Gene Kelly was singin’ and dancin’ in the rain in the street. I thought that it would truly be joyful to do something so outrageous. I am sure my neighbors will want me committed – but oh well – you only live once.  Who knows – maybe I’ll invite them to sing and dance with me.

Wants and Wishes

This week I really want to celebrate and enjoy this mini heat wave we are experiencing. It was thrilling to look outside this weekend and see grass slowly showing through the deep snow. The dogs are have an decrease in walking ability as the snow has softened and they sink like a rock. I can’t wait for spring!
