Week 54 Monday (1/19/15)

Recipe Review
Today’s Recipe and Location:           Champagne Cocktails
Found in: The Pioneer Woman Cooks: A Year of Holidays
                  Pages:  354 - 355     Copyright:  2013  Harper Collins

Unfortunately, I do not drink liquor, so this recipe is only in the Holiday book and not in the blog. I can’t really say a lot other than it looked good and something that would be fun to serve at a party.

Random Reflections - Bucket List #42

I think I would love to take a formal cooking class. I do think I am a pretty good recipe follower, but I do not think my technique is like that of a professional chef. When I was watching Julie/Julia, I learned that there is a right way to chop an onion. What is it?  I don’t know so maybe it would be fun to learn the right way to prepare food.

Wants and Wishes

I want a gas grill that would be usable all year. My Dad had a gas grill permanently installed by the back door to our porch in my childhood home. Due to its location, all we had to do to use it in the winter was shovel a scoop or two, and then grill away. I loved being able to grill all year around.
