I figured out that there are
123 calories per serving, if 24 servings are made. (Please note that the calorie
counts vary depending on the specific brands of ingredients that you choose to
use.)
Here I am preparing for the dipping |
This is the size ring I used to hold the dipped pops |
Each pop looked different. You can tell it was my first time I definitely need to practice |
These look better than the last ones |
They were all a little different, but definitely fun! |
These were really
fun to make, and I felt like an artist. If you are going anywhere that there are
children than this is the dessert to make for them. I loved selecting different
toppings. For me, I loved the ones with the finely chopped nuts. For my neighbor kids, the Serpicos,
I used four different colors of tinted sugar and chocolate sprinkles. They are
so darn cute. Nicole Serpico suggested using milk chocolate instead of the white almond bark. She said they were overly sugary and the chocolate would be better. Ree suggested using a cardboard box (like a shoebox) and poking
holes in it to stand them up as they set. I think a better idea, is to buy an
inexpensive Styrofoam ring and stick them in there. It is much faster than
using a box, and they are very secure. This is what I will take to our summer
picnic in Wheeler Park. They will be a real hit!
Random Reflections - Bucket List #41
When I
was a kid, I went Christmas caroling with my Girl Scout troop and St. Mark’s
Lutheran Church. I loved these two events. We had such a good time and actually
brought joy and happiness to the people on our route. I love to sing and
thought this would be a fun night. Of course, it is also a great time to share
my great recipes with friends and family.
