I received compliments on these shooters from the
Bunko group. I think they are very sweet. The lemon curd took a while to make, but it finally thickened and looked great. I slightly altered the recipe. When
I went to the grocery store they did not have any lemon cookies except Lemon
Oreos. The recipe called for soft lemon cookies. Oh well, I just put them in a
baggie and smashed them into crumbs. I think the lemon cream in the Oreos
actually made these really good. I
did what I had to do to make these little cuties.
Fabulous “Family and Friends” Food
Texas Cake

Ingredients:
2 c. flour
½ c. sour cream
½ teasp. salt
2 c. sugar
1 teasp. baking
soda
2 eggs
2 sticks butter
4 Tablsp. cocoa
1 c. water
Directions:
Mix
the first six ingredients in a mixer bowl. In a small saucepan over low heat,
bring remaining ingredients to a boil. Add boiled mixture to bowl. Mix well and
pour into a large greased and floured sheet cake pan. Bake at 350 degrees for
20 minutes.
Frosting
Ingredients:
1 lb.
confectioner’s sugar
1 teasp. vanilla
1 c. pecans
1 stick butter
4 Tablsp. cocoa
6 Tablsp. milk
Directions:
In
pan bring to a boil: margarine, cocoa, and milk. Pour into a small mixer
bowl. Add remaining ingredients.
Beat until smooth. Frost a warm cake.
