Week 48 Saturday (12/13/14)

Recipe Review
Today’s Recipe and Location:           Portobello - Proscuitto Burgers
Found in: The Pioneer Woman blog

Someone once told me that a Portobello mushroom has the consistency of a steak. I thought that sounded strange, but Ree’s burger actually looks really good.
I have never been a mushroom girl, because I don’t like the texture of the shrooms. I can’t imagine eating one in a sammy.
Portobellos are interesting to look at because they are really huge and dark brown, Many things I read said they were meaty-like. Who knew that what I was told was true? Every once in a while I notice them when I am shopping.
This recipe looks interesting, but I will let all of you try it out.

Random Reflections

My new creams and wash arrived last week from Rodan and Fields. They arrived in two days. I really like them so far. My skin may be shocked, because I have always used Sea Breeze to take off my face makeup along with eye makeup remover. That was the extent of my beauty regiment. I have never used lotions or moisturizers or exfolliants. I was blessed with good skin and few wrinkles. I have always avoided lying in the sun. This is partially because lying in the sun is boring to me, and I don’t care if I have a tan. I need to be doing something most of the time. I am not really good at relaxing. This blog keeps me busy and I am rarely bored while writing.
I strongly suggest that you try Rodan and Fields products. I personally ordered the Reverse Lightening Accelator to help with the awful age spots that are beginning to arrive. The Soothe Moisture Replenishing Cream is a great moisturizer. What I really like about this is that it dries quickly and is not sticky or greasy. The last item I ordered was the Reverse Deep Exfoliating Wash. This is great to remove dead skin cells. I am so happy with my purchases.
Are you READY for the BEST skin of your LIFE? What are you waiting for?

Helpful Home Hints

Did you remember to disconnect your exterior water hoses? According to Steve Mendel at Good Call Plumbing, exterior hoses should be disconnected to prevent interior pipes from bursting during the harsh winter weather. It isn’t too late to prevent a major water problem. So far, we haven’t had much snow or a temperature below zero, so get out there are disconnect.  It is better to do it, then whine about the cost later.  Go on………do it!
