Grilled Cheese Sandwich

I figured out that there are
612 calories per serving, if 1 serving is made. (Please note that the calorie counts vary
depending on the specific brands of ingredients that you choose to use.)
I am back to cooking
again. I must say the break was
wonderful, but it is time to return to the kitchen. I am back to taking my own
pictures of Ree’s masterful recipes, even though my camera ability is
challanging at times.
This was a great
recipe to start with. OMG this was amazing. As you can see from the recipe it
is a mix of yumminess. I have never put hard boiled eggs on a sammy, so this
was a first and one I will remember. The eggs, bacon and cheese were
remarkable. It’s a little high in calories, but truly worth it once in awhile.
Fabulous “Family and Friends” Food
Seven Layer Salad
(This is a dish my Mom used to make for
picnics and parties)
This
is a make ahead dish. Refrigerate this dish overnight for tomorrow’s party. It
is best after about eight hours. This salad is layered in a dish and tossed
right before serving.
My
Mom used to put it in a pretty glass dish, so every layer is visible. It is a pretty salad. Unless indicated, you can put in as
much as you like of each ingredient.
Layers:
Bottom Layer 1: cut up iceberg lettuce
Layer 2: chopped pieces of celery
Layer 3: top and bottoms of green
onions
Layer 4: frozen raw peas (about 10 –
12 oz.)
Layer 5: a generous ½ cup of
mayonnaise
Layer 6: grated cheddar cheese
Layer 7: about 8 – 10 slices of
cooked crumbled bacon
