Pizza Burgers

I figured out that there are
856 calories per serving, if 4 servings are made. (Please note that the calorie counts vary
depending on the specific brands of ingredients that you choose to use.)

made ½ lb. burgers – calories can be reduced by creating ¼ lb. burgers
Just look at that pepperoni, mozzarella and sauce. Mmmmmmmm! |
These burgers are so
flavorful. I love pizza and that may be why this burger just hit the spot. I
love the pepperoni but it is the meat mixture that is the key to this amazing
meal. The biggest problem I had
was that Ree serves giant ½ lb. burgers and my calorie count doesn’t allow for
that many calories at one meal. So I had to change the size of my burgers to
make it work for this woman. This is a fun alternative to a regular old
hamburger. Try it!
Gabbin’ About Gratitude
I
am thankful for the time I get to spend with my Mom. Two days ago I spend the
morning with Mom making a Lemon Lime Pound Cake from Ree’s blog. Mom plans to
serve this at her bridge club meeting Wednesday. I know that this is an amazing
cake and all of her guests will love every bite.
Memory Musings
Both
sides of my family have a reunion in the summer. My Dad’s side of the family
historically met at the Sannauk Forest Preserve between Sandwich and Sommonuak.
My Dad had a very large family, so getting this bunch together is a feat in
itself. I love these reunions
because I rarely, if ever, see anyone from my Dad’s side of the family, except
my Aunt Ada.
One
of my favorite memories from my childhood involved my Uncle Wes. He always
brought in a trough filled with ice and large, freezing bottles of grape and
orange Nehi. This was such a treat and we loved drinking it right out of the
bottle. To this day, I love both orange and grape soda. I miss you Uncle Wes.
My wonderful Uncle Wes |
Reunions
are a time to catch up on new births in the family, accomplishments, and just
share funny stories. I am extremely blessed to have wonderful people on both
sides of my family.
