Week 21 Friday (6/6/14)




Recipe Review              

Today’s Recipe and Location:                    My Mom’s Muffins

I figured out that there are 60 calories per serving, if 48 mini muffin  servings are made. (Please note that the calorie counts vary depending on the specific brands of ingredients that you choose to use.)





         These are a healthy, moist, hearty muffin. I think what I really liked are all of the different flavors that hit me as I ate a few of them.. At times, the banana stood out and in others it was the applesauce. I loved the nuts, which added a nice little crunch. Once again, I changed the recipe and made 48 mini muffins instead of 12 large ones. This was the perfect size for me.
      
Fabulous “Family and Friends” Food

Turkey Burgers
(This recipe is about 18 years old and I have no idea who gave it to me, as I have no name on the recipe)

Ingredients:
1 lb. lean ground turkey breast meat
1 small red onion
1 small yellow onion
fresh ground pepper
1 Tblsp. Worcestershire sauce
½ teaspoon BBQ seasoning
½ teasp. chili blend seasoning
cracked pepper
½ teasp. Cajun spice

1 head lettuce
4 whole wheat buns

Directions:
Form the patties and then bake until they are well done. Serve with lettuce on the wheat buns.  Yum!  Yum!
