Calories vary depending on toppings.   (Please note that the calorie counts vary depending on the specific brands of ingredients that you choose to use.)

I absolutely love pizza.  I think it would be my request for a last meal if I was on death row.  I know a lot of people make their own pizzas at home but this was a new one for me.  Who knew it could be this easy?  Not this girl.  These French bread pizzas only take a few minutes to make and they are absolutely scrumptious!  Of course, I started with my personal favorite ingredients, which are: pepperoni, black olives, and extra mozzarella. I also sprinkled on a lot of oregano, which just sealed the deal.  Ree also features full size pizzas in her book, but I think these individual size are the best for me. This will be a weekly treat for this household because I just must have a pizza on the weekend.  Life is really good!

This is my favorite pizza - pepperoni and black olives.
The olives are hidden under the cheese.

Random Reflections

As I sit here typing, I wonder how we ever functioned without the computer. This thin machine makes life so much easier. I love the internet and the answers you can get in a minute. I love that I know how to grout my kitchen floor because I watched a demo on youtube. I love that I can get menus and recipes in an instant, and I love my IPOD.  It only took me a year to learn how to use it but now it is my constant companion while I cook.
I am still a novice at all of the wonderful things that can be accomplished on the computer but the best part is that you are never too old to learn something new.

Helpful Home Hints

Plumbing tip of the Month
Are you letting your dollars go down the drain? You are if water is escaping down the overflow tube in the back of your toilet. The tank water level should not exceed the overflow tube in the back of your toilet tank. The water should normally be ¼ to 1 inch below the top of the tube. If the water is at a higher level, then the water is running down the overflow pipe and is wasted.  If the water level is higher, it can lead to an excessive water bill.
All you have to do to check this out is remove the cover on the toilet tank and peruse the water level near the overflow tube. Of course the first thing I did was zoom into my two bathrooms and check the tank.  I am happy to report my overflow tubes are not washing away my hard earned cash. Are you wasting your resources????
