Week 14 Saturday (4/12/14)

Recipe Review

Today’s Recipe and Location:    French Breakfast Puffs
Found in: The Pioneer Woman Cooks: Recipes from an Accidental Country Girl
                           Pages 66 - 67      Copyright:  2009  Harper Collins

I figured out that there are 531 calories per serving, if 12 servings are made. (Please note that the calorie counts vary depending on the specific brands of ingredients that you choose to use.)

Doesn't that cinnamon sugar call to you?

To me this isn’t a French Breakfast Puff but almost a decadent cinnamon muffin-like concoction.  It is wonderful!  It is better than any cupcake or muffin or pastry. I shared these at school and once again Ree gets two thumbs up from my staff.  Everyone thought they were Heavenly.  I would love to see these on a buffet table.  Maybe I should go into a catering business and just use every one of Ree’s breakfast items. I would be such a success.
Most people don’t cook like this anymore.  I hope Ree’s family appreciates the marvelous food they receive from her every day.  She is a marvel and one of the greatest cooks of our time.  What the world needs more of is real, not processed food.  If I can eat this rich food and lose weight and become much healthier, then so can you. I will NEVER eat diet food again.

Comments from School:  “They taste like cinnamon sugar cupcakes
“They are soooooo good that they taste like donuts”
         “OMG – these are amazing!”

Helpful Home Hints

Today, is that last installment of the filing cabinet organization. The remainder of the drawers have alphabetical files that contain important and insignificant files.  Some of my most useful files are:
Garage manuals, inside the home manuals, insurance information, menus, school materials, and what I call warm fuzzies. This file contains items from my students that make me smile or laugh. There are many more files but these are frequently used.  Organize your files today and it saves time in the long run.
