What the Beck???

I figured out that there are 219 calories,  if one ear of corn serving is made. (Please note that the calorie counts vary depending on the specific brands of ingredients that you choose to use.)

This butter is so flippin’ amazing.  I have learned to love spiciness and this was so good on an ear of corn. It just took a few minutes to make and really added a lot to this veggie.

Ree said to just grill it over the stove burner, so I did

It does take a bit of patience,
but it is better than lighting a grill

Ree is so brilliant. The last time I had to
cut corn off of the cob it ended up all over
the counter. She suggested using a Bundt pan.
I did trim the corn off of the bottom
of the ear, so that it fit in the center opening.

It all just fell nicely into the pan

I didn't have Montreal seasoning so I used Mrs. Dash

Can you believe I have caught up the movie reviews?  I thought they would never end.  They will return as I watch more and more old movies, but only now and then, as it takes a while to record the ones that I still need to see.

Dunham Castle

As I was going to Algonquin one day, I passed by this old castle. I was shocked and truly saddened at the state of this one time gem.  What a disappointment that they had let it fall to ruins.

The outside is dirty and dingy

Yes, some of the windows are boarded up

Look closely and you can see some
are broken or open to the elements
What are they thinking?????

It was once breathtaking landmark,
 and now a major disappointment

Keep out!

Extreme Couponing

I was almost out of shampoo, cream rinse, and body wash so I took all of my coupons and went on an extreme couponing trip to restock these and other items for the next year. I also bought a few cards and some Twizzlers for my college class.

This was my first trip, and I saved 30%.
I made another trip on the 10th of August,
and saved 58% on that day.
The best part is that I am now stocked for the next two years.
I truly hope that Kentucky is a double coupon state.
Think of the great things I could do for the
local food pantry if that is the case.
Today, I went on a makeup trip,
so I am ready for a year's worth of beauty.
I saved 34% on beauty products.
