Week 18 Friday (5/9/14)

Recipe Review

Today’s Recipe and Location:        Chipotle Chicken Chili
Found in: The Pioneer Woman blog

I figured out that there are 259 calories per serving, if 10 servings are made. (Please note that the calorie counts vary depending on the specific brands of ingredients that you choose to use.)

This isn't a bad picture. You are looking at the steam rising up and
filling the air in my kitchen with aromatic Heavenly scents

Here is my size serving.

OMG – This is a FABULOUS chili recipe! This chili is easy to make and the house smells Heavenly while it cooks for an hour. It is a great looking chili and definitely has a bite or kick. This is a low cal recipe but I did alter something. Instead of 3 different types of beans, I only added black beans. I also only added two cans instead of three. Black beans are new to me so I didn’t want to overdo it. This chili has so much flavor, that I could eat it every day for lunch. This of course makes my friend Jen crazy when have the same lunch for week. This chili is even worth hosting a Mexican flair party.  Try it!!!!!

Why Weight?

Curves has a new program and routine which includes Jilian Michaels. She is a tough instructor and her program is too hard for many of the people that attend Curves. I personally tried to do her routine and reinjured my back because it is just too much!
What is with her skimpy exercise wear?  We have joked about my friend Marge modeling the bra portion and laughed at the idea of any of us trying on her outfits. Curves, unlike many other exercise locations, is NOT A MEAT MARKET. We don’t even allow men to join – so why is Jilian wearing such provocative clothes at a ladies gym?  I don’t get it and I am disappointed in Curves because what we had was amazing. After my knee heals I will return to my Curves because I love it and the people but I will never do Jilian’s workout – I’m too old and out of shape.

Fabulous “Family and Friends” Food
