The Cattle are Leaving and the Moms are Mooing
The truck and trailer arrived to haul the "feeder cows" away.
They were taking away 33 of the Barnett cows.
The cattle that are leaving are between
about 350 - 700 pounds.
I felt really sad when they left. They were a
source of amusement and joy to us.
Going, going...gone.
The Mama cows stood on the hillside
mooing and moaning for their little ones.
The loud mooing lasted a few days and nights.
Soon, the Mamas will have new calves to care for,
and I will love them all again.
